Job Description:
A company is looking for a System Protection Engineer who will
act as a technical leader responsible for the design, development,
and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination
studies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, relay
settings development, and protection system event analysis
Provide technical guidance to other engineers and assist in
commissioning and testing of protection systems
Develop NERC PRC compliance reports and protection schemes for
various energy sources
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited
program
PE License required
4+ years of engineering experience with system modeling and fault
analysis software
Strong knowledge of relay coordination studies and protective relay
settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance
