We partner with our Nurses at Menorah Medical Center!Job Summary and Qualifications -To coordinate the Neurosurgery service line at Menorah Medical Center to include establishing and preparing for the program and use of Neurosurgery service line as mechanism to deliver unique services in surgical care. -This includes planning for and oversight of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for the delivery of surgical care across the continuum in Neurosurgery. The Neurosurgery service line Lead is integral in evaluating service needs, care delivery related to quality, safety and efficiency of care for the Neurosurgery program. - -
  • Works with staff to use a standardized setup for robotic cases and operating rooms.
  • Maintains up to date list of equipment/ supplies kept/stocked in the OR(s) and proactively communicates with the OR supply chain personnel to assure par levels are efficient.
  • Prepares and maintains Neurosurgery resource book, surgeon preference cards and Instrument count sheets
  • Identify opportunities to grow Neurosurgery and maximize financial revenue of the program.
  • Provide staff with updates to information including new technology, software updates.
  • Provide timely feedback regarding personnel and surgeon issues related to orthopedic surgery line
  • In collaboration with the surgical service educator, the coordinator will assist with maintaining staff development, skills records, and implementing staff development programs as needed regarding the Neurosurgery Service line.
    What qualifications you will need:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree Nursing, Diploma, or BSN. Knowledge of AORN Standards/Recommended Practices. Knowledge of PNDS (Perioperative Nursing Data Sets) a plus
    • Must hold a current RN license from the Kansas Board of Nursing or an active compact license. American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required upon hire. CNOR and/or specialty certification preferred
    • One year of Neurosurgery experience required
