Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a Cardiac Telemetry nurse, you will assess acute changes in patients, monitor and analyze heart rhythms, and intervene in emergency situations.

**Job Summary:**

* Provide high-level critical thinking and clinical knowledge to care for patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pace maker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries, and stroke/stemi patients.
* Collaborate with cardiology providers to ensure evidence-based care and provide education to patients and families.
* Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and decision-making.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
* Monitor and analyze heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, and note arrhythmias.
* Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide wound care as needed.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and provide education to patients and families.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

**Requirements:**

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
* Registered Nurse (RN) license.
* Registered Nurse Diploma.
